| Résumé | Le management environnemental est souvent considéré comme une notion abstraite et encore précoce dans le monde de l’entreprise. A l’heure où la question de la protection de l’environnement devient cruciale dans nos sociétés, on s’aperçoit que ce concept peut apporter beaucoup au niveau environnemental mais aussi social et économique. Ce concept apparaît après la création de l’idée de développement durable et joue un rôle non négligeable dans la relance économique des entreprises en ces temps de crise. En quoi le management environnemental peut-il s’appliquer dans le monde de l’entreprise irlandaise, sujet de cette étude ? Peut-on affirmer que ce pays peut compter sur le management environnemental pour faire face à la concurrence après une importante récession économique ? Cette analyse donnera une définition du développement durable et du management environnemental et permettra de discerner quels sont les atouts et les faiblesses de l’Irlande en tant que pays tourné vers le développement durable. |
| Résumé en anglais | The environmental management is often considered as an abstract concept and as an early notion is the business world. At a time when the protection of the environment is becoming crucial into societies, that concept can provide a lot of good at an environmental level but also at a social and economical level. This concept was created after the creation of sustainable development and nowadays, it plays a significant role in companies’ economic recovery in this period of crisis. To which extent the environmental management can be applied in the Irish company, which is the topic of the study? Is it possible to argue that Ireland can rely on the environmental management to deal with competition after a serious economic recession? This analysis will give an overall definition of sustainable development and of the environmental management and will consider what are the strengths and weaknesses of Ireland as a country focused on sustainable development. |
