Ce mémoire témoigne de ma rencontre avec Mme R. dans un Centre de Lutte Contre le Cancer. L'annonce du cancer du sein et sa nomination produisent chez Mme R. un bouleversement intense provoqué par cette atteinte à son intégrité corporelle. Au cours de nos rencontres, elle déploie une parole qui tente de dire l'insupportable de cette effraction et cherche à prendre une position par rapport à la contingence évènementielle qui génère de la sidération et fait surgir l'angoisse. Soumise au risque de la mort, Mme R. tente de restaurer ce que la maladie grave a abîmé, et ceci en essayant de rassembler dans la parole les éléments constituants de son identité et de son histoire. C'est pourquoi je propose la problématique suivante : Face à l'annonce du cancer du sein, comment Mme R. s'inscrit-elle dans un travail de subjectivation pour voiler le réel qui fait trauma ? Là où le voile fantasmatique a été déchiré par la maladie létale, Mme R. entreprend un travail de reprise pour pouvoir se protéger de ce qui doit rester ignoré dans le rapport à la mort et caché dans le rapport au corps. Les rencontres cliniques tentent d'accompagner l'acte de parole pour rendre possible un tissage discursif, à partir de la déchirure du voile fantasmatique, qui met en œuvre une parole qui interroge la causalité de la maladie, sa filiation, et sa place dans l'Autre.
This master’s thesis is about my encounter with Mrs R. in a Centre for Cancer Research. The announcement of the diagnosis of breast cancer as well as the naming of it caused in Mrs R. a substantial crisis due to the attack of her physical integrity. During our meetings, she is looking for words to grasp the unbearable and trying to find a way to handle the contingency of this event producing uncertainty and fear. Facing death, Mrs R. tries to restore everything the disease has destroyed in her by gathering constitutive elements of her identity and her biography. I therefore propose the following approach: Being confronted with the diagnosis of breast cancer, to which extent Mrs R.’s strategy is embedded in the context of subjectification in order to conceal the Real that has caused the trauma ? Whenever the phantasmatic protection is torn to pieces by the lethal disease, Mrs R. starts a work of reconstruction in order to protect herself against what should remain unknown in relation to death and what should remain concealed in relation to her body. The meetings in the Centre for Cancer Research are trying to trace the speech act in order to reveal a discursive practice based on the rupture with the phantasmatic protection activating a voice that is asking for the reason of the disease, its origin and its embedment in the Other.
