This internship report focuses on the distribution of Ammonia foraminifera in the estuary of the Auray River, France, using samples from five stations collected during three periods. The aim is to determine the specific composition of the stations and assess the potential contamination of the estuary by a non-native phylotype. The identification method relies on morphometric criteria using scanning electron microscopy and ImageJ software. Results are compared with previous studies, and the correlation between test and pore size is examined. The findings contribute to understanding the spatial distribution of foraminifera and their ecological implications in the estuarine environment.
