| Résumé | Aujourd’hui, les enjeux climatiques planétaires nous amènent à requestionner les relations que nous entretenons avec notre environnement. Thème devenu prégnant dans l’actualité, il a pourtant tardé à émerger dans les consciences collectives et dans les politiques publiques, qui s’organisent autour de sa protection. Une activité génératrice d’archives. Dans ce mémoire, nous souhaitons questionner la place de l’environnement dans les archives, en reprenant l’expression d’« archives de l’environnement ». Par cette étude, nous voulons étudier comment les archivistes français s’approprient la notion d’environnement. Ce dernier peut-il devenir un « objet archivistique » ? Peut-on parler d’une « thématisation » des archives ? Les témoignages et avis d'archivistes et de chercheurs en histoire de l’environnement permettent d’appréhender l’opinion sur ce concept fraîchement apparu et de faire état de la situation en France. |
| Résumé en anglais | Today global climate changes lead us to question again the relations between the humankind and its environment. If this thema has grown significant in the news, the process of its emergence in the societies’ awareness and in the public policies has been slow. Yet, they both organize in favor of environmental protection. This activity leads to a production of records and archives. In this study we want to lighten the place of environment in the archival science, by questioning the expression “environment’s archives” or “documents about environment”. We want to study how french archivists absorb the idea of environment. Can it be an “archival subject” ? Can it lead the environment to be highlighted as a special thema in archival science ? The study relies mostly on accounts of archivists and researchers in the field of environmental history. They’ll help to understand their perception of this newly emerged concept and to state the french case. |
