La formation continue des préparateurs en pharmacie exerçant dans une Pharmacie à Usage Intérieur (PUI) constitue une obligation réglementaire. Des besoins de formation théorique et pratique ont été identifiés par les équipes de la PUI d’un Centre de Lutte Contre le Cancer (CLCC). Le manque de temps et de moyens consacrés à la formation constitue un frein au développement de nouvelles activités. L’objectif de ce travail était de mettre en place et d’évaluer une activité de formation continue théorique et pratique, destinée aux préparateurs en pharmacie d’un CLCC. Dans un premier temps, une évaluation des outils pédagogiques décrits dans la littérature a été réalisée afin de sélectionner les outils les plus adaptés aux besoins et aux contraintes identifiés. Dans un second temps, un premier format de formation a été déployé, puis ajusté grâce à des évaluations régulières, intégrant les retours des apprenants. L’activité repose sur la présentation de cours théoriques d’abord hebdomadaires puis bimensuels par des intervenants volontaires et sur la réalisation de cas cliniques mensuels comprenant des exercices de recherche documentaire ainsi que la manipulation des logiciels métiers de la PUI. Les enquêtes de satisfaction ont permis de confirmer l’adhésion des apprenants au format proposé. Cependant, l’évaluation de l’impact de cette nouvelle activité sur les connaissances et compétences de préparateurs devra être poursuivie. Devant le succès rencontré par ces formations, des programmes pédagogiques seront élaborés trimestriellement afin de mieux structurer la formation et d’évaluer la progression des apprenants. Dans une perspective de développement des compétences, les préparateurs pourront contribuer à l’élaboration de cours théoriques ou de cas cliniques. La valorisation de leur implication offrirait aux préparateurs de nouvelles perspectives d’évolution, en cohérence avec le parcours professionnel défini par la convention collective nationale des CLCC.
Continuing education for pharmacy technicians working in a hospital pharmacy is a regulatory requirement. Theoretical and practical training needs have been identified by the hospital pharmacy professionals at a Cancer Treatment Centre (CTC). However, the lack of time and resources dedicated to training is an obstacle to the development of new activities. The aim of this work was to implement and evaluate a theoretical and practical continuing education program for pharmacy technicians at a CTC. First, an evaluation of the teaching tools described in the literature was carried out in order to select the tools best suited to the needs and constraints identified. Next, an initial format was implemented and then adjusted through regular evaluations, incorporating feedback from learners. The activity is based on theoretical courses, initially weekly and then bi-monthly, presented by voluntary speakers and on monthly clinical cases involving online research and the use of pharmacy professional software. Satisfaction surveys have confirmed learners' satisfaction with the chosen format. However, the impact of this new activity on the knowledge and skills of pharmacy technicians needs to be further evaluated. Given the success of this activity, educational programs will be developed on a quarterly basis in order to structure the training and assess learners' progress. In addition, pharmacy technicians will be offered the opportunity to contribute to the development of theoretical courses and clinical cases. Recognizing their involvement would offer pharmacy technicians new career prospects, according to the career path described in the CTC national collective agreement.
